Tepidarian

The Tepidarian civilization is renowned throughout the galaxy for achieving and maintaining the perfect state of room temperature across their entire planet. Native to the Lukewarm System, Tepidarians have devoted their entire existence to the pursuit of absolute thermal mediocrity.

Biology

Tepidarians are moderately-sized beings composed of a specialized Thermoplastic Tissue that allows them to sense temperature variations as small as 0.0001 degrees. Their most distinctive feature is the Thermal Regulation Organ, which enables them to maintain a constant temperature of exactly 21.1°C (70°F) at all times.

Society and Culture

The entire Tepidarian society revolves around the maintenance of perfect room temperature. Their cities are constructed within massive Climate Domes that house millions of temperature sensors and regulation devices. The population is divided into three primary castes:

The Great Achievement

In the year 4,721 BE, after millennia of careful temperature adjustment, the Tepidarians achieved their civilization's ultimate goal: perfect room temperature across their entire planet. This event, known as the Thermal Equilibrium, is celebrated annually by maintaining exactly the same temperature as every other day.

Technology

Tepidarian technology is exclusively focused on temperature control and monitoring. Their greatest invention, the Perpetual Comfort Engine, ensures that no area of their planet ever deviates from optimal room temperature. They have also developed sophisticated Thermal Neutralization Fields that prevent any unexpected heat fluctuations.

Interstellar Relations

While generally peaceful, Tepidarians maintain limited contact with other species, primarily because visitors might disturb their carefully maintained thermal equilibrium. They do, however, maintain diplomatic relations with the Bureaucrats of Blandor, who appreciate their commitment to maintaining stable conditions.
