Draxul The Separator

Draxul the Separator (2847-2931 CE) was a notorious Sirian military leader and political figure who rose to power during the tumultuous Third Luminescence Era. Known for his extremist ideology of "genetic purification," he orchestrated one of the largest mass deportations and genocides in Sirian history.

Rise to Power

Born into a prominent bioluminescent family in the Upper Sirian Territories, Draxul initially served as a minor officer in the Stellar Defense Force. His rapid ascension through military ranks coincided with growing social tensions between bioluminescent and non-bioluminescent Sirians.

The Purification Doctrine

In 2882 CE, Draxul published his infamous manifesto "Radiance Supremacy," which outlined his belief that non-bioluminescent Sirians were evolutionary throwbacks threatening the species' "pure light." His ideology gained traction among the ruling class, particularly during the Great Dimming Crisis of 2885.

Key aspects of his doctrine included:

  • Mandatory genetic testing for bioluminescent traits

  • Forced relocation of non-bioluminescent populations

  • Prohibition of inter-luminescence relationships

  • State-controlled breeding programs

The Separation Period

After seizing control of the Sirian High Council in 2890, Draxul implemented the Radiance Protection Acts, leading to:

  • The establishment of segregated living zones

  • Creation of "purification camps"

  • Mass executions of resistance leaders

  • Forced genetic modification experiments

Opposition and Fall

The Underground Light Movement, led by Commander Val'thor, organized widespread resistance to Draxul's regime. The movement gained momentum after the devastating failure of Draxul's Forced Luminescence Program, which resulted in thousands of deaths.

Draxul's reign ended in 2931 when a coalition of resistance forces, supported by moderate military leaders, stormed the Radiance Palace. He was captured and subsequently executed for crimes against sentient beings.

Legacy

The Separation Period fundamentally changed Sirian society and led to the establishment of the Universal Rights of Luminescent Choice Treaty. Modern Sirian education heavily emphasizes this dark period to prevent similar ideologies from gaining traction.
