Serpent Lords of Mu
The Serpent Lords of Mu were an advanced civilization of biomancers who ruled the continent of Great Mu during the Pre-Atlantean era (circa 25,000-18,000 BCE). Known for their mastery of biological transmutation and sophisticated understanding of DNA manipulation, they created some of the ancient world's most remarkable achievements in biotechnology and architecture.

Origins and Society
The Serpent Lords emerged from a group of mystical scientists known as the Scale Scholars, who discovered methods to alter their own genetic structure through a combination of ritual practices and advanced biological engineering. Their society was organized into seven specialized castes, each dedicated to different aspects of biological mastery and city cultivation.
The Living Cities
Perhaps their greatest achievement was the creation of Living Cities - vast metropolitan centers grown from genetically modified organisms. These breathing, self-repairing urban environments could adapt to their inhabitants' needs and environmental conditions. The capital city of Ophidia Prime was said to house over a million residents within its organic structures.

Technology and Achievements
The Serpent Lords developed numerous groundbreaking technologies, including:
-
Bioresonance Communication: A network of modified creatures that could transmit thoughts and messages across vast distances
-
Organic Computing: Living tissue-based calculation systems that could process complex mathematical operations
-
Environmental Synthesis: The ability to create specialized ecosystems within their Living Cities
Decline and Legacy
The civilization's decline began around 18,000 BCE, coinciding with a mysterious Great Cellular Cascade that caused their Living Cities to undergo rapid and uncontrollable mutations. Some scholars suggest this was the result of a failed experiment with their most ambitious project, the World Seed.
